Georgia Shrimp Company Wine Dinner

 Five Course Wine Dinner

 

 


 Course 1:

Curried Smoked Salmon

Delicately Smoked Salmon over a spring mix, with a peach BBQ purée.

Kluge Sparkling Rosé

Kluge SP Rosé is a luxurious sparkling wine. It has a beautiful, vibrant salmon hue and exceptionally rich creaminess.  The nose is fruity and floral; the body highlighted with notes of cherry, strawberries, and fresh figs.  A delightful dance for the nose and the palate.

 


Course 2:

Sea Scallops Ceviche

Fresh and delicious sea scallops marinated in lime with chili, garlic, onion and cilantro.

Kluge Sparkling Blanc de Blanc

100% Chardonnay, this is a rich, creamy, sparkling wine with a bright acidity, boasting great minerality.  Totally balanced with a floral nose that hints at lemon custard and pears.   It finishes with crisp notes of citrus and subtle hints of pastries and almonds.  Overall a perfectly balanced, exuberant bubbly. 


Course 3:

Curried Lamb Stew

Tender and succulent lamb seasoned exotically in a mild but extremely flavorful curry blend.  Slow cooked with carrots and onions in a hearty rich casserole. 

Kluge Simply Red

47% Cabernet Franc, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, 4% Malbec

This Bordeaux-style blend has a balanced, smooth and silky palate with a brilliant, intense ruby red color and smooth velvety tannins.  The wine has a medium body with a frank, fruit-filled expression..  There are nuances of blackberry and black currant with delicate licorice, vanilla, smoke and spice notes.


Course 4:

New World Mahi Mahi Oscar

Fillet of Mahi Mahi, grilled to perfection and topped with Jumbo Lump crab meat, fresh baby asparagus spears and doused with Hollandaise.

Kluge New World Red

53% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc' 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Malbec

Kluge Estate New World Red is round and silky with a mature and well balanced fruit.  It is full-bodied with a spicy, toasted oak character and notes of currant and black cherry.


Course 5:

Fresh Berry Panna Cotta

Panna Cotta, Italian for "cooked cream," is a silky dessert that’s flavored with vanilla. This delicious version from Chef Sean features sweet berries and sauce you won’t soon forget!

Albemarle Rosé

Albemarle Rosé is a vibrant, bright pink, with flavors as sweet as its appearance. The round, crisp wine offers flavor reminiscent of sweet candy and cherries, delivering excitement more than just simple fruit. The nose is complex and floral with an essence of candied rose petal and fresh, peach hints.
